Dorit Braun, Chief Executive, Parentline Plus

Dorit has long experience of parenting education and training professionals in family support. She has worked in Adult and Community Education and has worked at Open University to lead a national curriculum development project on family life education and was deputy Director at CEDC, wherein she led family education and child protection training for teachers. Moving on to a Health Authority, she became a Locality Commissioner.

Dorit then went on to become Chief Executive of the National Stepfamily Association, successfully guiding the organisation through merger with Parent Network and Parentline UK, to form Parentline Plus. In June 2000 Dorit was awarded an OBE on the Queen's birthday honours list for her services to parenting. Dorit is a single parent to three sons.
